Boston Blitz

Tomorrow morning, at an obscene hour, Geoff and I are leaving for a quick weekend trip to Boston! This is our VERY first getaway since having our daughter over two years ago, and as you can imagine, we are excited. There are also some nerves involved, as the thought of leaving the toddler behind is a bit scary too.

While she will be in great hands, playing away at the cottage, we will be soaking in the luxuries of the Liberty Hotel and some tasty Boston food. When Stephanie first blogged about this hotel a few months ago I knew I had to check it out - it's an old prison turned hotel and just opened in 2010.

Cannot wait to see this place in person...

...need a drink from the hotel bar...

...get a goodnights sleep in a pretty room...

...and tour the city on one of these!

The reason for our trip is actually to attend a concert. We cannot wait for Bon Iver too...

I'll let you know how it all goes! Have a good weekend!

Happy Valentine's!

Hard to explain how music makes you feel, but Avett Brothers' songs always bring me back to reality and keep me in check about what is most important in life - LOVE & FAMILY! Just the kind of music I like to listen to while playing with my daughter on the floor and discussing the days' events with my hubs.

Happy Valentine's Day to you and your loves!

I and love and you, Avett Brothers.

A Little Pick-me-up...

Every time I hear this song it puts me into a great mood. I heard it as I was driving to the lastest install for GEORGE Interior Design and I walked into the day feeling positive that I was where I should be, doing exactly what I love. Just heard it again coming home from yoga - in tonight's case, it was the cherry on top of a superb Friday night.  These guys are alright.

Wish I was at home in Toronto tonight so I could dance my butt off at their show with a few good friends and a cocktail!
